Training

The FHWA offers a number of air quality training opportunities. These courses were designed in response to the needs of both public and private entities and cover a range of topics and levels of proficiency.

Project-level MSAT Workshop - This FHWA Resource Center workshop provides background information on MSAT, including a description of these pollutants and some discussion of how they became an issue for highway projects.
Project-level Air Quality Analyses: An Overview - The course is divided into three parts. Part A covers air quality basics, transportation planning basics, and transportation conformity basics. Part B is an overview of the technical elements of air quality analysis. Part C covers the requirements for doing project-level analyses for particulate matter and current guidance on mobile source air toxics is covered in a general fashion. The course can be offered with or without training on the EMIT model.

EPA/FHWA MOVES Training - EPA and FHWA will be offering MOVES training in a number of different formats. Course descriptions and availability are listed on EPA's web site.
