Training
There are many training opportunities available for transportation practitioners to learn about air quality. The courses were designed in response to the needs of both public and private entities and cover a range of topics and levels of proficiency.
- EPA/DOT Training for Quantitative PM Hot-Spot Analyses - EPA and DOT will be developing a multi-day course in accordance with EPA's "Transportation Conformity Guidance for Quantitative Hot-spot Analyses in PM2.5 and PM10 Nonattainment and Maintenance Areas"

- Introduction to Transportation Conformity - The Transportation Conformity course will present basic information about conformity requirements and the relationship of the transportation and air quality planning processes in order to prepare agency staff (federal, state and local) to participate in interagency consultation and work effectively in resolving conformity issues.

- EPA/FHWA MOVES Training - EPA and FHWA will be offering MOVES training in a number of different formats. Course descriptions and availability are listed on EPA's web site.
- Web-based Training
- What is Transportation Conformity? - This on-demand web training provides air quality and transportation practitioners with an understanding of the basics of transportation conformity. It offers a general overview of the transportation conformity process and its major requirements. It is intended for transportation and air quality practitioners who are new to transportation conformity, those looking for a refresher, or others who only need a brief overview of the rule. The session is approximately 27 minutes long. Handouts are available for download at the same site.
