Mission Statement


The Army Medical Department (AMEDD) DoD/VA Program Office (ADVPO) serves as the coordination element with the Department of Defense; Sister Services; Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in support of DOD - VA collaboration.We support Provider Readiness and GME through healthcare resource sharing with the VHA. Through the HEC and JEC process we support MEDCOM Senior Leaders shaping DoD and VHA healthcare programs and the combined $117B budgets. We enhance diplomacy by integrating strategic communications with diverse, stakeholders to include: DoD; the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); the Government Accountability Office (GAO); and Congress.

The purpose of this website is to provide information on policies and legislation related to the DoD/VA Healthcare Resource Sharing Program, as well as the US Army  Medical Command (USAMEDCOM) policies that govern the implementation of the program.
