Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) Synthesis Projects and Related Resources

The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) is a leader in studying transportation issues with an eye toward real-life solutions to a variety of challenges. TCRP is a cooperative effort of three organizations: the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the National Academies, acting through the Transportation Research Board (TRB), and the Transit Development Corporation, Inc. (TDC), a nonprofit educational and research organization established by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

Through TCRP sponsorship, TRB prepares reports that synthesize current practices in the transportation field. These syntheses are an important resource for individuals and organizations charged with solving problems in the field of public transportation.
