Fiscal Year 2013 Performance and Registration Information Systems Management Grant Awards

Purpose: To link State systems to determine the safety fitness of a motor carrier or registrant when licensing or registering the registrant or motor carrier or while the license or registration is in effect; and deny, suspend, or revoke the commercial motor vehicle registrations of a motor carrier or registrant that has been issued an operations out-of-service order by the Secretary.

Authorization: Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users, Pub. L. No.109–59, §§ 4101(c)(3), 4109, 119 Stat. 1144, 1715, 1720–21 (2005), as amended by Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act, Pub. L. No.112–141, §§ 32602, 32603(c), 126 Stat. 405, 807 (2012).

Statue: 49 U.S.C. §§ 31104(i), 31106(b), 31109 (2006), as amended.
