Letter to OMB on DOT OIG Charge Card Recommendations

Required by the Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012
Project ID:
CC-2016-003

Summary

The Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012 requires us to report to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on the implementation of recommendations we have made to address findings from audits of the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) charge card programs. During fiscal year 2014, we issued one report on the DOT’s travel card program.  We made four recommendations to strengthen program controls and reduce program costs. DOT agreed to implement all four of our recommendations; however, two of the recommendations remain open.
