The Latest Developments in Zero Emission Buses / 无污染公交车的最新进展
The U.S.-China Race to Zero Emissions (R2ZE) challenge aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, spur technological innovation, and stimulate demand for Zero Emission Buses (ZEBs). Through this collaborative and friendly competition, R2ZE encourages transit agencies to incorporate new generations of advanced, non-polluting ZEBs into their fleets and onto streets in the United States and China.

On September 29, 2016, the White House and the Department of Transportation (DOT) held a conference call on the U.S.-China Race to Zero Emissions (R2ZE) Challenge as part of the ongoing outreach efforts to encourage transit agencies to join the Race.
Our years of work researching low or no-emission buses have paid off, providing the basis for FTA this year to oversee an annual grants program with dedicated funding for new technology buses, the Low or No-Emission (Low-No) Bus Competitive Grant Program.
On June 3, 2016 at the 8th U.S.-China Transportation Forum in Los Angeles, California, the Race to Zero Emissions was officially announced by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx and China Minister of Transport Yang Chuantang.
