What’s a VIN?
The VIN (vehicle identification numbers) is a unique number assigned to a vehicle. On cars and light trucks made in 1981 or after, it is 17 characters.

How do I find it?
You can locate your VIN on:
The driver’s side of the dashboard (where the dashboard meets the windshield)
The inside of the drive’s door, on the door post (where it latches)
Your insurance card
Your vehicle title and registration
