FTA Transit Construction Workshop

This two-day Transit Construction Workshop sponsored by the Federal Transit Administration in partnership with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Capital Construction Company will bring together project engineers and construction managers from transit agencies to discuss methods to improve the implementation of transit construction projects.The workshop provides a valuable forum for sharing ideas, challenges, and the best practices of transit projects and features tours of MTA's East Side Access and Second Avenue Subway construction projects. 

Day 1 will consist of an overview, FTA updates, and discussions among participants to share challenges, best practices and lessons learned on projects, and a tour. Day 2 will feature presentations by grantees on transit construction topics such as project controls, project delivery methods, testing, planning for challenges, best practices etc.

Register by August 8. All travel and per diem expenses, including meals, for people attending the workshop must be paid by attendees. Please note that registration is not complete until receipt of the final confirmation/approval by FTA.
