Physical Security

Physical Security is the discipline concerned with policy, elements and measures designed to: safeguard personnel; prevent unauthorized access to facilities, equipment, material, and documents at Navy and Marine Corps facilities, installations, activities, and operational commands ashore and at-sea; and defend against espionage, terrorism, sabotage, damage, and theft.

The DUSN PPOI Security Directorate has responsibility for the following Physical Security functions and/or programs:

  • Mission Assurance
  • Critical Infrastructure Protection
  • Chemical and Biological Security
  • Identity Operations Systems (including: Biometrics, Forensics) and other enabling Capabilities
  • Navy Physical Security Enterprise Analysis Group (PSEAG)
