A Predictive Approach for Long-Term Performance of Recycled Materials Using Accelerated Aging, Volume I: Final Report Research/Reference: useful for researchers doing further work in the pavement area as well as those developing improved testing and design procedures. Includes documents of historical value.

Primary Topic: Pavement Recycling

Description: Report analyzes the long-term physical and environmental performance of recycled materials in a highway application. The use of recycled materials in a proposed highway application frequently requires the assessment of physical and environmental performance. Future behavior is often difficult to predict. As alternatives to field demonstrations, strategies to predict long-term physical and environmental performance need to be developed. The appendices to the report are in FHWA-RD-01-023. Copies of the document may be available through www.ntis.gov, PB2001-107670.
