Harness Type5-pt

Evaluation of Labels 2 stars
There is no complete illustration of a properly restrained child next to the sizing information on the labels. Belt path labeling on the base is not contrasting, and there is no belt path labeling for the carrier-only belt path. Labels do not explain the use of LATCH attachments.
Evaluation of Instructions 3 stars
The user must learn how to remove the carrier from the base to access the manual prior to first use. The manual storage cannot be accessed while the restraint is installed in this mode, and the storage location may not be obvious. The manual could fall out of the carrier while in use outside of the vehicle, and there is no manual storage on the CRS base. No full picture exists of a properly restrained child next to sizing information in the owner's manual.
Securing the Child 4 stars
There is a head hugger or body pillow blocking the harness slots in the shell from being easily visible. The harness must be rethreaded to adjust height for the child's growth as well as for reassembly after cleaning.
Installation Features 4 stars
The carrier may appear to be securely installed to the base when it is not. The restraint is equipped with hook-style LATCH attachments which may require twisting to remove from the lower anchors in the vehicle.
Overall Ease of Use Rating 3 stars
