DC Washington, DC Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Transit Works Program-This program provides military veterans and high school students with skills training and assistance to help them transition into WMATA’s Bus Maintenance Apprenticeship programs. Participants will receive mechanical, electrical and electronics training to successfully join WMATA’s work force. $795,334
FL Jacksonville, FL Jacksonville Transportation Authority (INC) Hybrid Technology Workforce Training and Implementation - This project will develop a hybrid training and implementation program to assist in implementing the Authority’s new hybrid transit fleet, while also creating standard materials that can be used by any transit agencies nationwide that are first-time operators of hybrid transit vehicles or that wish to improve their best practices related to implementing hybrid bus technology. $247,197

ND Bismarck, ND Transportation, North Dakota Dept of ND Statewide Transit Intelligent Transportation System (ITS0) Workforce Training Program - This project will provide intelligent transportation systems (ITS) training for transit workers statewide, including computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and wireless mobile data computer retraining services for operations staff at five transit systems that already utilize ITS. Funds will also help to provide initial ITS and CAD training for 31 rural transit systems across the state. $269,423
