For projects with innovative elements that encounter technical, legislative or regulatory challenges, the Center for Innovative Finance Support Project Delivery Team can provide technical assistance through the Critical Project Review process. In such cases, the Project Delivery Team will assemble a tailored group of technical experts who can provide assistance in whatever areas may be needed. The Critical Project Review process can involve one-time assistance to arrive at a solution to a single issue or more iterative involvement at critical decision points in order to achieve the goal of helping departments of transportation overcome the many challenges involved in delivering complex transportation improvements. Through the Critical Project Review process the Project Delivery Team is also assembling a collection of lessons learned on strategies to overcome delivery challenges for the larger infrastructure community.
