Asset Inventory

An asset inventory is a register, repository or comprehensive list of an agency’s assets and specific information about those assets. It is intended to provide consistent information across all asset classes to support enterprise-level business processes, including capital programming and operations and maintenance budgeting.  It is the responsibility of the agency to determine what should be included in the asset inventory, how the inventory should be organized, and the critical information that is needed to manage the items in the asset inventory over their lifecycle.
