• Executive Order 13112 on Invasive Species, February 3, 1999 — President Bill Clinton signed this executive order for the purpose of preventing the spread of species beyond their native environment and minimizing their impacts on trade, ecology, and human health.
• Executive Order 11988 on Floodplain Management and Executive Order 11990 on Protection of Wetlands, May 24, 1977 — President Jimmy Carter signed these executive orders in an effort to minimize or avoid adverse impacts to, and development in, floodplains and wetlands, respectively.
