Annual Analysis, Research, and Technology Forum

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) held its 15th annual Analysis, Research, and Technology Forum on January 11, 2016, in conjunction with the 95th annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board in Washington, DC.

The Forum attracted industry stakeholders, safety advocates, researchers, technology companies, government representatives, and domestic and international transportation professionals. At the 2016 Forum, FMCSA showcased Agency safety priorities; highlighted initiatives related to the Unified Registration System, pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and driver health and fatigue; and discussed the possibilities and challenges of integrating automated vehicles into the CMV industry.
