Summary

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) is initiating an audit of the Department of Transportation's consolidated financial statements for fiscal years 2015 and 2014 in accordance with the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990. An independent audit firm, KPMG LLP, will perform the audit—subject to OIG oversight—according to generally accepted Government auditing standards and the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) audit requirements. The audit report will be delivered to OMB by November 16, 2015.
