Cross-Examination for Prosecutors

Cross-examination is an art form only occasionally practiced by prosecutors, who instead necessarily focus much of their efforts on direct examination.  This monograph was developed to assist prosecutors in understanding the basic goals, methods, and forms of cross-examination when dealing with all witnesses.

        IMPLICATIONS FOR HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY: Many of the cases prosecuted in the state and local jurisdictions are traffic oriented.  With this in mind, this monograph assists local prosecutors in honing their skills in the art of cross-examination, particularly as it applies to traffic cases.  This will result in better case preparation and the likelihood of a successful prosecution.
