Pathways On-Site Hiring Event for Students and Recent Graduates

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has more than 55,000 employees and oversees air, maritime, and surface transportation. Come Join Us! DOT is be hosting an “On-Site Pathways Hiring Event,” exclusively for “students and recent graduates.”  The Pathways Program provides a pipeline for attracting talented and innovative students to explore endless opportunities to begin charting their career paths.  This program is a highly-sought employment and hiring initiative throughout DOT.  Our DOT hiring managers are extremely excited and are looking forward to being actively-involved in this on-site hiring event!

WHAT: DOT Pathways Hiring Event for Students and Recent Graduates

WHEN: Monday, September 28, 2015

TIME: 1:00pm to 5:00pm

LOCATION: DOT Headquarters – Oklahoma City Rooms - 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20590

Important information for all Job Seekers

Resume – must include the following information:  1) job information for which you are applying; 2) personal information; 3) education; 4) work experience including the work schedule and hours worked per week as well as dates of employment; and title, series, and grade if applicable; 5) supervisors phone number and e-mail address for each work period listed and whether or not we may contact them for reference checks; and 6) other qualifications.

Education – **students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited educational institution and provide the following:  1) letters, records, or statements issued from the high school, vocational institution, college or university from an official source (i.e., university registrar’s office) and/or 2) copy of transcripts which reflect field of study, school name, students name, GPA or academic standing, past and current course work, degree program and major/concentration.  Note: An unofficial copy is sufficient with the application; however, if selected, the official transcripts will be required prior to entrance on duty.

** Proof of Enrollment/Class Registration - Proof of Enrollment may include a screen shot of the semester class schedule, an official letter of enrollment, or listed on official transcripts.  The document should show the academic institution where the student is actively enrolled in courses, the degree or certificate program, and enrollment in at least a half-time status (as defined by the academic institution).

DD-214 (Member 4 Copy) – If claiming Veterans’ Preference.  Veterans claiming preference must submit a copy of their DD-214.  If claiming 10-points preference, a VA letter and an SF-15 Application for 10-points Veterans’ Preference must be included.  Current Active Duty members must submit a certification or expected discharge or release from active duty under honorable conditions dated within the last 120 days.
