Summary

On March 16, 2016, the Inspector General testified before the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies, on budget and management challenges facing the Department of Transportation.  The Inspector General focused on three cross-cutting areas: (1) addressing new and longstanding safety challenges, (2) continuing diligent stewardship over DOT’s critical investments, and (3) enhancing DOT’s information technology security and preparedness.
