Audit Initiated of FAA's Expenditures for Airport Improvements at the Kabul Afghanistan International Airport

Project ID:
10F3015F000

Summary

The Office of the Inspector General is initiating a review of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) expenditures at the Kabul Afghanistan International Airport (KAIA).  In 2006, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), under an Agreement with FAA, transferred $25 million to FAA for improvements at the KAIA.  Our audit objective is to determine if FAA's costs in support of the KAIA improvements were supported and valid under the terms and conditions of the agreement with USAID.
