Summary

On Sept. 22, we issued a final report on Financial Reporting Process at FAA’s Enterprise Service Center. FAA has begun consolidating accounting operations from regional offices to the Enterprise Service Center (ESC) in Oklahoma City, OK. As part of the audit of FAA’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 financial statements, KPMG LLP, an independent contractor, reviewed FAA’s Accounting Operations Consolidation Plan. KPMG identified issues that need to be addressed and made eight recommendations to improve ESC’s reporting relationships and organizational structure. The FAA and DOT CFO’s agreed with the KPMG recommendations.
