Summary

On October 13, 2015, Ronald Mockelman was sentenced in U.S. District Court, Lincoln, Nebraska, to 9 months incarceration, 40 hours community service, and 12 months supervised release for threatening a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) employee resulting from an OIG investigation.

On January 10, 2015, Mockelman, a commercial truck driver, made several threatening telephone calls to FMCSA's Nebraska Division offices. The telephone calls threatened bodily injury in retaliation for FMCSA issuing a fine to Mockelman for failing to adhere to motor carrier safety regulations. On the same day, Mockelman  allegedly made several threatening telephone calls to the FMCSA Midwestern Service Center in Illinois.
