Trucker Jailed 3 Years for CDL Identity Theft

Summary

A Pennsylvania state court in Philadelphia sentenced William Nicastro to three years in prison for using another trucker's commercial drivers license to work as an over-the-road trucker at numerous trucking companies. Nicastro, whose own CDL is suspended, pleaded guilty in February to charges of forgery, tampering with identification, and securing documents by deception. The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office prosecuted this case, which was investigated by OIG, the Philadelphia Police Department, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.
