Former FAA Employee Ordered To Repay $350,000 in Workers Compensation Fraud

Summary

Michael Lee Harms was ordered by a U.S. District Court judge in Dallas to serve 33 months in prison and to pay $354,389,000 in restitution for fraudulently collecting workers compensation after injuring his back in 1996 while employed as an air traffic control specialist for FAA. While collecting workers compensation, Harms was working as a pilot for two air freight companies as well as serving as president and CEO of Amber Aviation, a non-profit organization.
