Former FAA Employee Sentenced for Travel Fraud

Summary

Daniel Baussan, a former FAA employee, pled guilty on May 13, 2004 to theft of government property and was sentenced in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Baussan submitted three travel vouchers claiming reimbursement for temporary quarters subsistence expenses for four family members who did not reside with Baussan. Baussan was sentenced to two years supervised probation, ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, and $4,332 in restitution to FAA. Baussan has resigned from the FAA.
