Former NHTSA Employee Pleads Guilty to Theft of Over $8,000

Summary

Jeffrey T. Taylor, a GS-14 NHTSA Safety Defects Specialist, entered a pre-indictment plea in Superior Court, Washington, DC, to four counts of second-degree theft. Taylor admitted to having made personal charges totaling $8,120 on a Government-issued purchase card from December 2003 to June 2004. Taylor resigned from NHTSA on December 6, 2004. Sentencing is scheduled for February 28, 2005.
