Guilty Plea in Philadelphia Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Fraud Case

Summary

On March 2, Terry Crockett, ownerloperator of Terry F. Crockett Architects (a certified
DBE), pled guilty in U. S. District Court in Philadelphia to charges related to a corruption
scheme involving FAA-regulated airport advertising contracts at Philadelphia
International Airport. Crockett was one of four people indicted in February on charges of
conspiracy, mail fraud, and wire fraud in a corruption scheme involving approximately
$15 million in FAA-regulated concession contracts awarded by the City of Philadelphia
for advertising at the airport. Crockett admitted to using his company as a conduit for
$30,000 in contributions to a political action committee which supported, among others,
the mayor of Philadelphia. No sentencing date has been set. This continuing investigation
is being conducted jointly with the FBI.
