Former NHTSA Employee Pleads Guilty to Embezzling over $12,000 from the Government

Summary

On June 1, Julia Goldson, a former staff assistant at National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), pled guilty in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to a felony charge of embezzlement. Our investigation found that, between January and December
2003, Goldson received $12,096 for 401 hours of overtime work that she had not performed. Goldson resigned from NHTSA in October 2004. Sentencing is scheduled for August 17,2006.
