Owner of Wisconsin Dump Truck Firm Pleads Guilty For Submitting False Statements On Federal Highway Contracts
Summary
On March 14, Darrell Kasner, owner of Kasner's Transportation, Inc., Aprin, Wisconsin, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Madison, Wisconsin, to charges of making false statements on payroll reports submitted for hauling services performed on a federally-funded highway project near Winchester, Wisconsin. Kasner was indicted on October 26, 2006 on charges of failing to pay two dump truck drivers local prevailing wages in 2002 and 2003 as required under Federal law. Sentencing is set for May 23. This investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Wisconsin DOT.
