Idaho Resident Pleads Guilty To Illegally Piloting Airplane Without Valid Airman's Certificate

Summary

On March 12, Gary J. Engman of Bellevue, Idaho, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Boise, Idaho, to charges of flying an aircraft without a valid airman certificate and failing to file four income tax returns. OIG's investigation disclosed that on April 6, 2006, Engman flew an aircraft registered to his business, Wild Horse & Cattle, without a valid airman's certificate. Sentencing for Engman is scheduled for September 10. This case was investigated with the Internal Revenue Service, with assistance from FAA.
