Summary

On September 3, Keysha Logan, a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) procurement employee, was arrested by OIG agents and appeared before United States Magistrate Court, District of Maryland, to face charges for theft of government property.  After her initial appearance, Ms. Logan was released on her own personal recognizance.  The FAA has placed Ms. Logan on indefinite suspension pending the outcome of the investigation. 

OIG's investigation revealed that between January 2007 and July 2010, Ms. Logan allegedly used her government issued MasterCard to make unauthorized purchases for her personal use, including more than $82,000 in American Express and Vanilla Visa gift cards, personal purchases at Staples and tickets to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  Ms. Logan then allegedly used her access to the FAA accounting system to approve the purchases.  Ms. Logan confessed to misusing her MasterCard.
