Summary

On July 23, 2012, in U.S. District Court, Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew K. Anderson pled guilty to a charge of conspiracy for his role in the forgery of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), which he falsely represented to obtain approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to modify a regulated aircraft.  A STC is a certificate issued by the FAA to an applicant who alters, by introducing a major change in type design, an aviation product already subject to a Type Certificate.  Mr. Anderson, owner of Andrew K. Anderson, Aviation Consultant, LLC, Cartersville, Georgia, was contracted by SIA Engineering Company to obtain STCs to make interior modifications to a Boeing aircraft owned and operated by Dubai Air Wing, a branch of the government of Dubai responsible for providing air transportation for government officials.  Mr. Anderson subsequently forged the STCs and provided them to Dubai Air Wing purporting the STCs were issued by FAA.
