Worcester Businessman Charged with Attempted Bribery

Summary

On September 26, 2013, Irfan Dushku was charged in U.S. District Court, Worcester, Massachusetts, with bribery of a public official. Dushku was charged with attempting to bribe a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Safety Inspector in order to avoid negative findings on a safety review of his motor carrier company, Korca Enterprises, Inc. It is alleged that Dushku paid $1,000 to a FMCSA Safety Inspector to produce a false FMCSA Compliance Review of Korca Enterprises, Inc.

We are conducting the investigation jointly with FMCSA's Massachusetts Division.
