Audit Initiated of Support Services Contracts Issued by FAA’s Regions

Summary

FAA’s regions and technical and aeronautical centers obligate about $500 million annually for support services contracts. We began an audit to determine whether the FAA regional offices are implementing adequate contract administration procedures and providing proper management oversight of contracts for technical services, such as engineering, environmental support services, and installation support. The audit will also identify potential cost savings FAA could achieve from improved contract administration and management oversight.
