Summary

On March 28, Acting Inspector General Todd J. Zinser testified before the Senate Commerce Aviation Subcommittee hearing on FAA's FY 2007 budget request and the status of the Aviation Trust Fund. Mr. Zinser’s testimony focused on the (1) progress and challenges within FAA’s three major accounts—Operations, Facilities and Equipment (F&E), and the Airport Improvement Program (AIP), and (2) observations on the current funding mechanisms for FAA. FAA Administrator Marion Blakey also testified.
