Summary

On February 19, 2010, we responded to Senator Mark Pryor's request to report on our efforts to promote transparency and accountability in the Department's Recovery Act spending.  Specifically, we (1) described the actions we have taken to respond to allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse of Recovery Act funds, including those referred to us by the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board (Recovery Board); (2) summarized our ongoing and planned audits; and (3) estimated the portion of our FY 2010 and FY 2011 workload that we expect to dedicate to Recovery Act oversight.
