Georgia Contractor Pleads Guilty to Clean Air Act Violation

Summary

On November 19, 2015, Larry Miller pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, Washington, DC, to Negligent Endangerment in violation of the Clean Air Act. Miller was charged by Information on November 10, 2015.

The information alleged that between August 2011 and October 2011, during a demolition project at 619 D Street SE, Washington, DC, Miller negligently released asbestos material, a hazardous air pollutant, into the air. In doing so, at the time of that release, regulated asbestos material negligently caused others to be placed in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury.
