Summary

Our audit of training for air traffic controllers will evaluate whether: (1) FAA has identified future hiring requirements and developed strategies for filling controller vacancies; (2) FAA’s planned methods for training controllers will be sufficient to meet projected staffing requirements; and (3) FAA has considered alternatives that could expedite the training process and reduce costs.
