Summary

On July 21, we announced an audit on DOT's Information Security Program. The objectives are to measure progress made in: (1) implementing security and privacy requirements in response to OMB requirements; (2) strengthening air traffic control system security through implementing the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) and developing a more robust contingency/continuity plan; and (3) enhancing the departmental Investment Review Board's abilities to identify performance gaps in major information technology investments.
