Summary

We have issued the final report on our review of NHTSA’s fiscal year 2014 Drug Control Obligation Summary and Performance Summary reports. During the review, we noted one exception.  NHTSA’s Drug Control Obligation Summary Report indicates that it obligated $2.238 million for fiscal year 2014. However, of this amount, NHTSA did not obligate $338,000.  According to management, the $338,000 will be added to its fiscal year 2015 spending plan.  Other than the exception to the Drug Obligation Summary report, no information came to our attention that would reverse management’s assertions that the reports complied, in all material respects, with the requirements of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Circular, Accounting of Drug Control Funding and Performance Summary, dated January 18, 2013.
