Wireless Connectivity Intersection
11. Wireless Connectivity allows cars to be continuously aware of each other so when one car breaks suddenly cars several yards behind the vehicle get a safety warning before they get too close 12. Intersection Connected vehicles can improve safety at busy intersections

Connected Vehicle Technology Automated Vehicle Image
21. Connected Vehicle Technology can help vehicles "platoon" at the same speed and conserve energy and curb pollution 22. Automated Vehicle Image - Platooning uses cooperative adaptive cruise control in a series of vehicles to improve traffic flow stability and safely allow short headways, to obtain mobility and fuel efficiency benefits.
Automated Vehicle Image Traffic signals
23. Automated Vehicle Image - Automated vehicles use on-board sensors, cameras, global positioning, and telecommunications to help perform safety-critical driving functions such as steering, acceleration, and/or braking. To ensure full awareness of their surroundings, automated vehicles can leverage connected technology to communicate wirelessly with other vehicles and roadside infrastructure to improve safety, performance, and reliability. 24. Traffic signals are an important part of the connected vehicle environment. They will help to prevent crashes by sharing messages between all nearby vehicles, infrastructure and even pedestrian cell phones.
