Personnel Bio

Allie Aguilera is the Acting Director for Governmental, International and Public Affairs for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). As PHMSA's Acting Director for Governmental, International and Public Affairs, Ms. Aguilera serves as PHMSA's official spokesperson in communications with the media, Congress, State/local elected officials, public and private stakeholders and others. Her responsibilities include leading the agency's interaction with members of Congress, Congressional staff and other governmental representatives to promote agency policies, programs, strategies and activities; and monitoring legislation impacting pipeline and hazardous materials transportation safety and security.

Prior to this, Ms. Aguilera served as Special Assistant in the Office of the Administrator of PHMSA. Prior to joining PHMSA, Ms. Aguilera served as Policy Analyst to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's Chief Counsel where she worked to develop and launch many of the Mayor's most impactful social justice initiatives including Universal Broadband, LinkNYC, and the New York City Commission on Gender Equity. In addition, Ms. Aguilera's experience includes a wide array of program management, transition strategy, and operational leadership, supporting numerous successful electoral campaigns and political initiatives.
