Provides executive leadership, agency-wide program management and evaluation of all PHMSA operational activities designed to protect people and the environment from the risks associated with hazardous materials and pipeline transportation.
The Office of the Administrator determines and establishes PHMSA's policies, objectives, and priorities and directs the development of action plans to accomplish agency and departmental related missions. In addition to these duties, the office is responsible for the development and execution of the agency's strategic plan and performance plans to help guide and measure accomplishments of the President's and the Secretary's goals.
