The U.S. Department of Transportation recently released Standard Industry Fare Level (SIFL) rates for the six-month period from Jan. 1 to June 30. The rates are necessary when applying the Internal Revenue Service aircraft valuation formula to compute values of non-business transportation aboard employer-provided aircraft. NBAA Members must log in to review the new SIFL rates.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and NBAA have created a structure that allows NBAA Members to point out their observations about system operations to the agency through its five managers of tactical operations (MTOs). The MTOs are the faces of the FAA in their respective regions, explained NBAA Director, Air Traffic Services & Infrastructure Bob Lamond.
