BIA/Tribal Bridge Inspection Program
Beginning under MAP-21 and continuing in the FAST Act, all BIA and tribally owned bridges open to the public must adhere to National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), and their conditions must be recorded in the FHWA National Bridge Inventory (NBI) on a scheduled basis.
