STUTTGART - U.S. Africa Command welcomes Major General Salvatore "Sal" Cambria as their new Director of Operations and Logistics responsible for operational planning, organizing forces and resources for conducting assigned missions; coordinating movement, sustainment and employment of forces and resources; and monitoring, assessing and directing operations in order to promote partnership, sustainable security and stability in the US AFRICOM area of responsibility. Cambria joins the command from U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida, where he served as the Director, Interagency Task Force.
