Research recently conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management revealed three key obstacles to veteran employment: concern about the impact of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) on job performance, the cost of reasonable accommodations for the disabled, and a lack of understanding by companies on how military skills translate to non-military jobs. Highlights the first day of practice at the 2014 U.S. Army Warrior Trials held at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York.


2014 U.S. Army Warrior Trials - Day 2

Wounded, ill and injured service members and Veterans from the Army, Marines and Air Force across the United States will join together at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York, to train and compete in archery, basketball, cycling, track and field, swimming, shooting, sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball. Participants in the trials include athletes with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, visual impairment, serious illnesses and amputations.
