Family members and Caregivers play a crucial role in the recovery and transition of their Soldier. Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) Cadre view Families and Caregivers as key contributors for each Soldier's recovery and transition. As a Family member or Caregiver, you can provide help by:
Families and Caregivers are also encouraged to participate in the Soldier’s initial self-assessment, a critical first step upon arrival at the WTU.
The Family member or Caregiver should complete the initial CTP self-assessment with the Soldier within the first seven days of arrival at the WTU. Once complete, the Family member or Caregiver should take all opportunities to update the plan with their Soldier and support the Soldier in achieving his or her goals.
